FLIGHTCHECK® will report to you the "status" of an image file, such as whether the image is missing or has been modified. You can also ask FLIGHTCHECK® to alert you when an image has been JPEG compressed (which some printing devices cannot handle), or if the image is stored within the publication (making it impossible to edit if need be), or if the image is "nested" (in other words the image is stored inside another image), or if the image is "not included" (but is merely referenced by pathname). Each of this cases has a separate solution. For modified images, you can return to the application which created the document and ask it to "re-link" the images, but for the others you may need to return the image back to the imaging application in order to correct the situation.
